Heya!
If you know me personally, you know that I love painting my nails, sometimes even doing some nail art manually... haha! I know! It's really hard to do it if you don't have the right materials but if there's a will, there will always be a way-even tons of them sometimes! :D
So here's a recent pic of me, (forgive the kinda haggard puffy eyes and the not-so-cooperative dyed hair) showcasing my newly-painted nails. Oh yeah, they look like candy! And they resemble the colors of the string curtains behind me (which we bought from Divi quite a long time ago, and evidently it got me head over heels when I saw it! Good thing my mom was on the same boat and we got 3 sets of it. Haha. They now adorn our living room, covering the screen that separates the house from the small store. Cute!). :D And yeah, I intentionally posed there to have the curtains as the background. :D
So anyway, you might wonder how many nail polishes we have here. But even if you're not interested, I'm posting a pic here anyway. Haha. :p
So we have 23 nail polishes here. Haha. We don't have lots of staples. And when I speak of we, it's me and my mom because we're the ones who buy nail polish here. But sometimes even my younger sister uses them too. Haha. Just earlier I painted her toenails. The color was...
...I'll tell you later. Haha!
So we see here on the pic that we're not brand loyal when it comes to nail polish, basically because we choose nail polish based on the colors available, the size and the price. Haha. We choose small vials since these things get dried up easily anyway.
Now I'll proceed to show you the groups of nail polish individually. I can name the brands and colors easier that way. So in case you are idolizing my artistic taste when it comes to nail polish, better save this post! Though I used some cute colors before which are now not available in our nail polish bank. So sad. But pretty soon I'm sure I'll get some new cute colors! So just wait for the update of this post! ;)
We have here Chic Neon Blue and Careline Classic in Fantasy Red.
I think my mom bought the neon blue one with my consent since we're looking for a good shade of blue. This one looks playful, though it has the same color as some blue pipes...maybe you're familiar with them? Haha. SO I had to stay away from those when I used this.
My mom disliked the fantasy red one since she said it looked like the one prostitutes use. In my opinion though, it will only seem like that if you'll use it individually but perhaps if used with other colors, it will look good. Especially with green... talk about Christmas colors! Oh I have a green that may look good with it though I didn't think of donning some Christmas-themed design on my nails so I haven't seen if the combination really is good. Still, I think I'm right. Haha!
Now here's the Klik group. Clockwise from top right:

Now here's the Klik group. Clockwise from top right:
- Regular Pussy Red - must be a staple! It's very elegant and if you want to look white or make your skin look lighter at least, this will do the trick. I think it also looks good on morenas. :D
- Frosted 4 Season - this is a part of a nail art kit gifted to my sister. It makes me look darker so I don't really like it. Haha. Plus, it looks like the hair of some cheap China doll. But maybe it will look good on you if you're really fair-skinned.
- Frosted Orange Peel - I wanted to have some neon colors on my palette that's why I bought this long ago. It kinda makes me look darker too. Haha. It looks like normal neon orange but since it's frosted, it has some metallic shimmer. If put on a morena, I think the color will really stand out.
- Frosted Mocha Blaze - This is the right shade of orange for me, in my opinion. It doesn't make me look darker, to my pleasant surprise! Though I haven't seen it on a morena, I think this will look quite dull on dark skin.
- Frosted Plum Delicious - My new favorite! I used this one on my sister earlier and it looks really cute! It has really tiny gold glitters, like gold dust, which makes it shimmery (and thus, the term frosted). It reminds me of Barbie pink. So yeah, it kinda has the dolly effect, at least to me. Very girly! :D On morenas, I think this will also look good.
- Regular Cinnabar - It looks like a creamy red color, like a very light maroon. It might look dull on morenas and is not a very stunning color even on the fair-skinned. I got this color with formal events in mind.
- Regular Cindy - A duller version of baby pink and a bit redder than the former. It made me look darker and I'm not sure it would look good on morena skin.Perhaps the fair-skinned could wear this better, like really fair ones.
Of course we also have Caronia products here! From left:
- Touch of Tan - Definitely a staple! If you're looking for that skin-tone nail polish well this is the one. Perfect for formal occasions, you can also use this even for day-to-day activities. Not too formal but not too playful, you can just put it on whenever you can't decide what to use. Better for fair-skinned girls, while the frosted version would work for the morenas, IMHO.
- Regular Pink Lilac - Another good shade for formal occasions. Can you also imagine pairing it with your corporate getup? Great right? :D However, i think this will look quite dull on morenas, but excellent for the fair ones.
- Bronzed Platinum - My, this one looks silvery white! I was fooled by the compressed color on the vial! Poof... unless you're going for some Lady Gaga outfit, I don't really recommend this. It also makes the skin look darker. I do believe it would look good on morena girls, if they really want to catch attention.
- Regular Italian Nude - This is a more purple version of pink lilac, more vibrant and young. It can also be used for formal occasions though I prefer pink lilac. Haha. Also good for more informal events, especially if you'll design it with Sassy pink(?) nail art polish, which I did before. huhu but I can't find the pic now. But wait...
Notice the stripes? So it's the pink (sorry I can't read the color anymore so I'm not sure what shade it is) Sassy on Italian nude. The Sassy pink (?) came with a nail art brush, both to my astonishment and pleasure. I can't really use it to paint the whole nail, but yeah I was able to make awesome nail art because of it, though still not as awesome as a pro with the right tools. ;)
Anyway, here are the others...
The Sassy family! Though two of them are not in this pic but they'll come later. So here are their shades:
- Black - No, this is not just for the emo/punk/rockers. It's very classy and it actually looks good on all skin tones. :D This one came with a nail art brush so I just use it for designing.
- Pink(?) - As I said before, I can't read the label anymore. Also, this came with a nail art brush so it's just perfect for designing, especially for the girly ones. Perfect color combinations: with Italian nude (proven!), Frosted plum delicious (haven't tried this one yet but looks promising!), Apple green (will come later! Also, haven't tried yet but I bet will be a playful pair!), Frosted mocha blaze (still haven't seen them together yet but I'm pretty sure they'll look great together!), other shades similar to the ones I mentioned, particularly those of violet ;)
- Pussy Red - Yeah because this is a staple, we have two of it. :D
- Frosted 24 K Gold - Not officially a staple yet but I plan to make it one! Really classy, it looks like a subtle version of bronze which makes it perfect for any skin tone.
- Frosted Sapphire - In our quest for The Blue Shade, we purchased this since it looks like royal blue, only frosted. Haha. Since it's really dark, it's good for the fair-skinned since it will make them fairer and would also stand out against the lightness of the skin. I think it will have a dramatic effect on the morenas and will also stand out because of its shimmer.
Now the final group!
We have two Sassy's here, the ones on either ends:
- Amethyst (on the left) - If used by the elderly, it looks fit for their age so I was kinda hesitant to use it but amazingly, it actually looks good and makes my skin look lighter. Only, I would advice that you use it in combination with other colors so as to counter the kinda mature shade (like what I did in my pic, the first one on this post). Better for fair-skinned girls I think.
- Natural - Yes that one is a natural but it has a red tint that miraculously doesn't really show when you apply it. It's a staple-use it for first and last coating.
And we have the Caress family (from left):
- Frosted Blackcurrant - looks black at first but it has a plum shimmer. Good for all skin colors.
- Touch of Tan - did I mention that this is a staple? :D However, Caress makes a darker shade. I prefer Caronia. this ones looks more mocha.
- Frosted Apple Green - A bright yellow green, it amazingly lightens the skin. Good for all skin colors. ;)
By the way, the colors I used in my pic up, up there are: Frosted 24 K Gold, Frosted Plum Delicious, Frosted Apple Green, Amethyst and Frosted Mocha Blaze. Yup, all of them are shimmery. Tip: if doing combinations, don't mix regulars with frosted ones since they don't really look good together. Or maybe you can prove me wrong. I dare you. :p
So that's all.
Gotta get back to helping mom cook! :D
Noche Buena it two days! Yipee!!! :D
